From the North (Ozark, Montgomery) - Take Hwy 231 south to Dothan. Right on Ross Clark Circle. Restaurant is on left just after teh intersection of Ross Clark Circle and Hwy 84, between Bruno's and Office Depot.

From the West (Ft. Rucker, Enterprise) - Take Hwy 84 east to Dothan. Right onto Ross Clark Circle. Restaurant is on left just after teh intersection of Ross Clark Circle and Hwy 84, between Bruno's and Office Depot.

Hunt Army Air Field - County Road 18, Newton, Alabama

From Dothan, AL - Take Hwy 231 north out of Dothan. About 10 miles out of Dothan, cross over the Choctawhatchee River. Approx 1.5 miles from the river will be a traffic signal. At the light, make a left onto County Road 18. Proceed on CR18 approx 1 mile and Airfield will be on right.

From Montgomery, AL - Take Hwy 231 south out of Ozark. About 6 miles out of Ozark, pass by a rest area. Approx 1 mile from the rest area, will be a traffic signal. At the light, make a right onto County Road 18. Proceed on CR18 approx 1 mile and Airfield will be on right.

From Ft. Rucker, AL - Travel to either Dothan or Ozark and proceed as listed above.

From Bainbridge, GA - Take Hwy 84 west to Dothan, then follow the Dothan directions.

Skelly Solo 1 - Divisional Event

Skelly Field - County Road 427, Opp, Alabama

From Dothan, AL - Take Hwy 84 west out of Dothan. In Enterprise, AL continue on Hwy 84, then left onto Alt Hwy 134. Continue on Alt Hwy 134 until you take a right onto Hwy 134. Approx 15 miles make a right onto County Road 427. Proceed on CR427 approx 1 mile and Airfield will be on left.

From Montgomery, AL - Take Hwy 231 to Troy, AL. Turn right onto Hwy 167. In Enterprise, AL, turn right onto Hwy 84. From Hwy 84, take a left onto Alt Hwy 134. Continue on Alt Hwy 134, until you tak a right onto Hwy 134. Approx 15 miles make a right onto County Road 427. Proceed on CR427 approx 1 mile and Airfield will be on left.

From the Bainbridge, GA - Take Hwy 84 west to Dothan, then follow the Dothan directions.

From Panama City, FL - Take Hwy 231 north to Dothan, then follow the Dothan directions.

Hunt Stagefield - 153 acres - William P. Hunt, Jr., enlisted in the Army on 1 July 1939 and served in a field artillery battery at Fort Monroe, VA. He was discharged to become a Cadet at West Point on 28 June 1940 and was commissioned a 2d lieutenant in the Regular Army on 1 June 1943. He served in the Coastal Artillery Corps until 1946, when he transferred to Infantry. He had brief overseas assignments in the Philippines and Korea from July 1945 through 1947. He served as the Assistant Professor of Military Science at the Citadel and at the Infantry School, Fort Benning, from 1947 to 1950. In 1951 he attended the Air Force Liaison Pilot School at San Marcos, TX. He then attended further training at Fort Sill. In February 1952 he was assigned to the 7th Infantry Division in Korea. On 21 June 1952 he was killed in action as the result of a plane crash.

Hunt AAF is a satellite field within the Army's helicopter training complex at Fort Rucker -- nicely aged, well-maintained airfield concrete, absolutely flat. The course takes up the entire ramp area and most of the center runway -- the regions in Alabama seem to favor long courses.

Skelly Stagefield - 194 acres - Major Thomas M. Skelly died in Germany on 11 March 1945 from wounds received in a plane crash in combat.
